Owner John Greene’s love for homes and their care is ingrained in his commitment to the community he calls home: Massachusetts’ South Shore. With a background in developing houses and a more recent role as the owner of Caring Transitions of South Shore Mass, John recognized a troubling gap in home services. He saw many local homes left vacant, awaiting resolution of legal or family matters. This led him to conclude that home watching services were an important need in the area, and Grey Bird Home Watch was born.

While particularly appealing to older individuals with unoccupied homes, the services of Grey Bird Home Watch are also ideal for snowbirds, business professionals on extended trips, individuals undergoing long recuperations, and people in the process of re-locating, with properties yet to be sold.

John says “With our Caring Transitions business, we take care of not only the transitional process, but a family’s home and possessions as well. Grey Bird Home Watch is a natural outgrowth of those services. South Shore Home Watch customers can feel completely comfortable with us watching their home. Because, although it may sound corny (in our case it’s completely true), we really do care about people and the things they care about.”
